Pacers Sports & Entertainment and Zippin Partner for Self-Service Concessions
at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
INDIANAPOLIS – Pacers Sports & Entertainment and Zippin, developers of checkout-free technologies for retail and concession stands, announced today a first-in-market partnership to give Gainbridge Fieldhouse guests a more seamless and lower-contact food & beverage experience. The technology is another way PS&E is creating new experiences within the experience as part of ongoing Fieldhouse of the Future renovations.
Beginning with two Fast Break grab-n-go stands in the Main Concourse, Zippin technology enables guests to use their mobile wallets or credit cards to make their purchases and complete their transactions without having to checkout or pay at a register. Shoppers make their selections and are billed automatically for their purchases when they exit the concessions area, with smart sensors, smart shelf sensors, vision cognition, and machine learning to creating the frictionless experience.
The partnership with Zippin reinforces the fact that Gainbridge Fieldhouse is truly the Fieldhouse of the Future, and this technology, the first of its kind in this market, gives our guests a state-of-the-art concessions option that reduces wait times and improves the overall experience.
Rick Fuson, PS&E President and Chief Operating Officer
Two additional Fast Break locations on balcony level will also utilize Zippin technology when they open later this year.
"Today’s launch is an essential step toward further enriching the fan experience inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse,” said Dennis Branch, Zippin Head of Business Development. “We’re excited to be here with the Indiana Pacers and proud to provide frictionless shopping so that fans can focus on what matters most, the excitement of the game."
