INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Big Ten Conference today announced that single-session tickets for the 2022 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament presented by TIAA will be on sale starting at 10 a.m. ET on Monday, March 7. Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis will host the 25th edition of the event March 9-13.
 
Tickets will be available at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse box office or online at Ticketmaster.com. Single-session ticket prices vary from $25 to $100 depending on the session.
 
The Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament includes 13 games over five days and features all 14 Big Ten Conference member institutions as they compete for the tournament title and an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Inspiring Sports Panel Series: Inclusive Leadership
Thursday, March 10 (9 – 11 a.m.)
Indiana Sports Corp is partnering with RISE to lead an in-person workshop and critical conversation focused on inclusive leadership. The program will empower attendees to foster inclusive cultures and address matters of racism and inequity. Attendees will be introduced to the concept of inclusive leadership, its importance and how this skill can be both modeled and fostered. They will also engage in discussion and exercises to develop those skills and perspectives and receive an inclusive leadership toolkit.
 
Block Cancer Day – Mike Slive Foundation
Saturday, March 12
Semifinal day of the 2022 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will be Block Cancer Day dedicated to prostate cancer awareness. The Mike Slive Foundation for Prostate Cancer Research will be providing lapel pins for the coaches and CBS talent to raise awareness for prostate cancer. Messaging and in-venue signage will focus on increasing awareness and education about prostate cancer and the importance of early detection – one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and when it is caught early, it is nearly 100 percent treatable. More information on the Mike Slive Foundation can be found at www.MikeSliveFoundation.org.
 
Wayne Duke Postgraduate Scholarship
Saturday, March 12 – Halftime Recognition
The Wayne Duke Postgraduate Scholarship Award is an annual scholarship recognizing one male and one female Big Ten Conference senior student-athlete pursuing a postgraduate degree for achievements in academics, athletics, civic service, and leadership. Each Big Ten Conference member institution may nominate one male and one female student-athlete. The Big Ten Conference will recognize this year’s recipients, Blake Hayes of the University of Illinois and Gianna Glatz of Rutgers University, at halftime of the first semifinal game.
 
Boys Basketball Clinic
Sunday, March 13 (12 – 2 p.m.)
The Big Ten Conference and Indiana Sports Corp will host a free boys’ basketball clinic on Championship Sunday for 75 students in grades 4-6. The clinic will take place at the Irsay Family YMCA and participants will receive a clinic t-shirt.
 
Disabled American Vererans (DAV)
Sunday, March 13 – Halftime Recognition
The Big Ten Conference will invite local members of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and their guests to attend Sunday's Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament championship game. At halftime, the group will be recognized and honored on court for their service and sacrifice.

COVID-19 Guidelines

 

The Big Ten Conference has established the following guidelines for attendees of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament from March 2-6, 2022, and the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament from March 9-13, 2022, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis:

 

POLICY FOR FANS

  • All fans are strongly encouraged to attend only if they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster if eligible.
  • All fans are encouraged to wear masks inside the arena except when actively eating or drinking.
  • Individuals who are feeling sick and/or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not attend the tournament.
  • All fans should follow appropriate guidance regarding local public health requirements in regards to isolation and quarantine procedures for individuals with COVID-19 positive test results and individuals identified as high-risk contacts to a COVID-19 positive individual.
  • The conference will continue to monitor the COVID-19 environment and may adjust policies at a later date.
